About

My Life Balance provides Positive Psychology and health and wellbeing coaching services for personal development and lifestyle change. My interest in psychology began when I was a teenager. I was curious about people and human nature and why we think, feel and behave the way we do. Life, however, initially led me in a different direction. I studied business under corporate sponsorship and entered the business world during a challenging economic climate. It seemed like the sensible choice at the time, yet over the years, I began to feel increasingly out of alignment - stressed and unfulfilled.
The experience taught me what happens when our work and lifestyle conflict with our temperament, values and strengths, and underpins the Mission and Vision of My Life Balance - an understanding of the importance of living in alignment with our true nature. When people understand themselves deeply and create goals and lifestyle habits that reflect their intrinsic motivations, they find meaning and thrive.
When my children were born, I moved away from the business sector and into early education. My interest in human development was sparked again. I was also finally able to return to study psychology and fulfil a long-term goal of gaining my Degree. Formal study enabled me to learn evidence-based frameworks for growth and change, including Martin Seligman's work in positive psychology. These theories inform my approach at My Life Balance.
When we live in alignment, we experience more ease, more clarity, and more moments of “flow” where effort feels natural and purposeful. In this state, we are less vulnerable to burnout and more connected to a sense of contentment and wellbeing. My Life Balance is about reconnecting with what matters most and living in a way that feels authentic and sustainable for you.
